3M Earplug Lawsuit

The 3M case is one of the largest mass-tort cases in the history of the United States.  The 3M Company is a multi-billion-dollar company, headquartered in Minnesota, who manufactured and sold the dual-sided Combat Arms earplug to the US Department of Defense, with the intent that those earplugs be used by soldiers in combat. 3M allegedly knew that the earplugs were defective, yet they failed to correct the defects, and more concerningly, never alerted the Department of Defense to the defective nature of the earplugs. As a result, thousands of servicemembers now experience tinnitus and/or hearing loss.
