The Cobos Law Firm Scholarship
It is with great pleasure that we offer the Cobos Law Firm legal scholarship. At our law firm in Houston, TX, we believe in the power of education as well as the importance of paying it forward and giving back to our community. That is why we offer an annual scholarship to a student with an interest in law enrolled at an accredited university in the United States.
Legal Scholarship Criteria
In order to apply for this legal scholarship, the applicant must be enrolled in classes at an accredited university. Moreover, the scholarship itself will be awarded based on the need of the student and their commitment to helping others.
This scholarship offers a one-time award of $1,000 to one winner to be used for tuition, books, and law school expenses.
Legal Scholarship Requirements
Craft an essay of no more than 1200 words detailing your commitment to helping others through the legal system. In your essay, describe how you hope to utilize the law to give back to your community.
- Any submitted photos, videos, and essays must be the original work of the applicant.
- Only one submission may be entered per student per year. Duplicate entries will automatically be disqualified.
- Students must provide proof of current enrollment at an accredited university in the United States. Examples include a copy of a tuition bill or an official letter from the school.
- All scholarships are non-renewable.

The deadline to apply for this legal scholarship is December 10, 2020. Following the application deadline, a winner will be selected and announced by December 31st. The Cobos Law Firm will notify the winner by email or telephone call. Cobos Law Firm will make the announcement via our website and social media channels.

Texas’ Pro-bono College
In past years, attorney Andrew Cobos has been admitted into the State Bar of Texas’ pro-bono college. This is a recognition for attorneys who dedicate a substantial amount of time to provide legal services to individuals who could not otherwise afford such services. Pro-bono representation is one of the many ways that the Cobos Law Firm supports its mission of providing effective and aggressive legal services to its clients.
